Prior to founding General Projects in 2016, Jacob spent 7 years at Resolution Property where he first joined as Principal and subsequently became Head of UK. Whilst at Resolution, Jacob sourced, negotiated and developed over £500m of real estate, comprising 1.5m sq ft, realising over £260m of profit for investors.
Jacob pioneered Resolution’s push into design-led creative real estate, leading the award winning development of Alphabeta in Shoreditch, as well as Dept W, The Bonhill Building, Colston Tower, Programme Bristol and Thomas More Square.
Jacob holds an MSc in Real Estate from London Southbank University and a BA in International Relations from Boston University. Jacob won Deal of the Year at both the 2016 Property Week and Norwood Property Awards, as well as the 2014 YN Rising Star of the Year Award.
Prior to joining General Projects in 2016, Fred spent 4.5 years at Faena Group’s New York office working in the real estate development team. As a Real Estate Associate, Fred was part of the team responsible for developing 0.4m sq ft, $1b GDV, of prime real estate in Miami. The project’s Phase 1, a residential tower designed by Foster + Partners, sold out for $450m, $120m over the initial underwriting and averaging a record breaking $3,000+ psf.
Fred holds a MBA from Baruch Zicklin School of Business and a MSc in Real Estate Development from NYU.
Prior to joining General Projects in 2016, Rowern spent 2 years in Macquarie’s proprietary investments team where he was one of the youngest Managers globally. His team successfully deployed over US$10bn of the bank’s own capital into European real estate credit over 6 years.
Prior to Macquarie, Rowern spent 3 years in Rothschild where as part of the financial institutions M&A team he advised on over US$2bn of corporate M&A and worked with major state institutions including the Central Bank of Greece and the Netherlands bank bailout fund in the direct aftermath of the financial crisis.
Prior to joining General Projects in 2017, Jacob spent 1 year in Land acquisitions for Westbourne Capital where he was involved in the acquisition of residential land with an aggregate GDV in excess of £400m with unrealized profits for investors of £150m.
Prior to Westbourne Capital, Jacob spent 1 year as consultant for Galliard Homes with a focus on Central London markets where he originated and led the structuring of a JV partnership with Westminster City Council in delivering out-of-borough affordable housing.
