The City of London has not historically been a place for creativity, fashion and art…but if ever a building existed to change that, it would be One Poultry, a postmodernist masterpiece.

Fortunately, Wallpaper* Magazine agreed with us and opened a pop-up art gallery to prove it. Featuring a design collaboration between renowned artist Martino Gamper and Italian designer Dedar, the gallery had over 10,000 visitors in just a week, bringing a completely new energy to Bank Junction.

Gamper’s designs, a series of panelled artworks, were inspired by the patterns that form when images of artists’ work are slow to load on the internet. For a split second, blocks of colour are seen in a grid formation before the image finally loads. In the digital community, this effect is known as Dominant Colour Lazy Loading.
